GloryBrew The Duke Compostable Biodegradable Coffee K-Cups® Review
Updated: Sep 22, 2018
I am a new fan of Glorybrew Compostable Coffee K-Cups®! I tried out their ‘The Duke’ medium roast and was surprised by how strong the flavor was! I’m usually a dark roast fan but I read where if you brew these k-cups® on strong in your Keurig®, it will be the perfect in between cup so I decided to give it a go. They were right!
Not only are these coffee pods 100% compostable and eco-friendly, they have a Rainforest Alliance Certification. You can learn more about what that means, in detail, here. In a nutshell, it means that these beans are guaranteed to be sustainably grown and sourced! The Purpod100™ certification means that no no petroleum-based plastics were used in their compostable K-Cups® and that they are environmentally friendly!
They are compatible with single serve brewers and Keurig® machines including the every so picky 2.0, like mine! I had zero trouble using these compostable pods in my Keurig® 2.0 K250! I bought a 36 pack of Glorybrew The Duke roast pods on Amazon Prime for $27.00, which equals to $0.75 per cup of coffee! You can also buy them in 72 count [$50.00 - $0.69 per cup] or 108 count [$75.00 - $0.69 per cup] boxes!
Glorybrew is not only environmentally awesome but they also love their customers enough to offer a satisfaction guarantee and asks you to contact them if you are not happy with their ‘superior taste’! I was very pleased with the roasts! You can also purchase a variety pack, which is a blend of The Duke [medium; featured], Knight [dark], and Noble [extra dark]!
The Amazon Product description describes the beans as:
This medium-roast blend has a bright, pleasant aroma with medium acidity and mellow toasted notes. The Arabica beans are sourced from premium selections in Indonesia give this blend its earthy notes, while Latin American Arabica beans round-out a smooth finish.
